The short version
- Tandem acts for you, on your instructions. You approve what it does and you are responsible for what you approve or allow it to do on its own.
- AI can be wrong. Check drafts before you send them; you can undo recent actions and pause everything at any time.
- Your data stays yours. We use it only to run Tandem for you — see the Privacy Policy.
- If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
1. This agreement
These terms are between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME], trading as SoftWebHub, of [ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Tandem you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Tandem for an organisation, you confirm you may bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.
2. What Tandem does
Tandem is a personal operations assistant. You connect tools such as email, calendar and chat; you set up AI agents and tell them how you work; they triage, summarise, draft, schedule and follow up, asking for your approval according to the permission levels you set. We may improve, change or remove features over time; if we remove something material that you pay for, we will tell you in advance.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
- Give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. Tell us straight away at hello@softwebhub.com if you think someone else has access.
- You are responsible for activity in your account, including by anyone you invite to your workspace.
4. You are in charge of what Tandem does
You are the principal. When Tandem reads, drafts, sends, books or changes something in a connected tool, it does so as your agent, using access you granted, on your instructions. In particular:
- Approvals. Actions that send, book or change something start on “Ask first”. When you approve an action — or set a rule that lets an agent do a kind of action without asking — you are authorising it, and it is treated as your own action.
- Your settings. You choose each agent’s permission level per action, its rules and the tools it can use. Review them; you can change them, undo recent actions within the undo window, and pause every agent with the kill switch at any time.
- Your obligations to others. You are responsible for having the right to process the data in your connected tools, for the messages sent from your accounts, and for complying with laws that apply to you — including privacy, marketing, recording and employment laws.
5. AI-generated content
Drafts, summaries, suggestions and other output are generated by AI. They can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate, and similar requests may get different results. Do not rely on output as professional (legal, financial, medical or similar) advice. You are responsible for reviewing output before you approve it, and for disclosing to recipients that AI was involved where the law or your own policies require it (Tandem can add a disclosure for you).
As between you and us, you own the output generated for you, to the extent the law allows ownership of it.
6. Connected tools
Google, Microsoft, Slack and other connected services are provided by third parties under their own terms, which you must follow. You authorise us to access each service with the permissions you grant on its consent screen and to act there as described in these terms and the Privacy Policy. You can disconnect any tool at any time. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or changes they make that affect Tandem.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Tandem to:
- send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or messages that impersonate someone else;
- break the law, infringe others’ rights, or harass, defraud or harm anyone;
- process data you have no right to process, or special-category data unless you have a lawful basis;
- attempt to break, probe or overload the service, get around its limits or approvals, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows;
- build a competing product from it, or resell it without our written agreement;
- breach the usage policies of our AI provider or of any connected service.
We may stop an action, or suspend an agent or account, to prevent harm or abuse.
8. Your content and data
You keep all rights in your content and connected data. You give us a limited licence to host, process, transmit and display it only to provide Tandem to you, to keep it secure and to comply with law. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalised AI models. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy; business customers can ask for our data-processing agreement at hello@softwebhub.com. You can export or delete your data at any time from Settings.
9. Plans and fees
Some plans are paid. Prices, included usage and billing period are shown when you choose a plan. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires or we say otherwise. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice, taking effect at your next renewal. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card details.
10. Previews and the demo
The demo runs on sample data in your browser and does not connect to real accounts. Features labelled preview, beta or “coming soon” are provided as they are, may change or be withdrawn, and may have lower reliability.
11. Suspension and ending
You can stop using Tandem and delete your workspace at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect users or the service — with notice where reasonable. We may end a free plan with 30 days’ notice. When your account ends we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy; export it first if you want a copy.
12. Our property
Tandem, its software, design and brand belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a right to use the service, not ownership of it. If you send us feedback we may use it without obligation to you.
13. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Tandem reliable and secure, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties beyond those in these terms — including that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or fit a particular purpose.
14. Limits of liability
- Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, however caused.
- We are not liable for actions you approved, or that an agent took under a rule or permission level you set, or for the content of AI output you chose to send.
- Our total liability arising out of or in connection with these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or £100 if you have not paid anything.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, you keep your statutory rights.
15. Indemnity
If you use Tandem for business, you will compensate us for third-party claims and the reasonable costs that arise from your content, the messages you send or approve through Tandem, or your breach of these terms or the law.
16. General
- Changes. We may update these terms. For material changes we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app; continuing to use Tandem afterwards means you accept them.
- Law and courts. These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW], whose courts have exclusive jurisdiction — except that consumers may also bring claims where they live.
- Events beyond control. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events outside reasonable control.
- Whole agreement. These terms and the documents they mention are the whole agreement between us about Tandem. If part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may transfer this agreement as part of a reorganisation or sale; you may not without our consent.
